"Looked around the internet to find a demonstration done in my last physics class for your blog. I believe my professor used ground up quartz so it was more accurate to an actual fiber optic cable (as compared to milk). Picture of possible light paths in a fiber optic cable. :O

Anyway, it shows how light is reflective as it tries to travel from one material to another. Since water is more dense, most of the photons are reflected back into the water stream and it continuously bounces back and forth along the stream, similar to a fiber optic cable. I thought that was a really cool demo and would be cool to add to your blog. ♥ :D”
